ARBITRATION (or a life worth living)

arbitration (ɑːbɪˈtreɪʃn), n.

A Government-sanctioned yearly judgement whereby citizens must prove their life’s worthiness or risk being burned alive.

Alan is missing something crucial; the shadow of his biggest regret lurks amongst his evidence. With 20 minutes on the clock, and with the help from his friend, the VCR, Alan must now make a choice: hide his instability and manufacture evidence, or face his demon and be true to himself.

Movement and text blend together in this dystopian work that investigates our need for social approval, putting our freedom to live in the hands of someone else, by allowing the audience to ultimately alter the fate of main character.

Following the success of last year’s The Messiness of Human Relationships, Cuisle Productions returns with this tragic, funny, occasionally cynical, and quirky all around world première by Niall Carmody, performed by Jérémie Cyr-Cooke.
